Zee joined the Lifecycle team in 2022. However, their story at Lifecycle began in 2019, where they spent time working alongside the staff as a midwifery student.
A native of California’s San Francisco Bay area, Zee move to the east in 2017 to attend the University of Pennsylvania’s MSN program. While there, they completed their education as a Certified Nurse Midwife and Gender-Related/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Zee knew that they wanted to be a midwife from a young age after hearing the story of their birth at home – where they were also caught by a midwife! Wanting to gain some life experience, Zee worked as a labor and birth nurse for six years before starting work as a birth center midwife. During this time, Zee learned more about what it means to be a midwife. They found a deep love and interest for providing not only prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, but gynecological care including birth control, various vulvar and vaginal problems, annual visits, gender-affirming care, and reproductive health justice and access.
When not nerd-ing out over how amazing human bodies are, Zee likes to spend time rock climbing, hiking, camping, or at home snuggling up with their dog and cats over a good book or silly show.
